Why you should stay with us

LimeTime Hostels is all about making you love Sao Paulo. We are the biggest fans of this city and we want you to feel the same way and enjoy the best of it with great tips for sightseeing during the day and awesome party advice for experiencing Sampa’s nightlife.
Located in a central and safe location, we’re right in the middle of the action, close to the main streets and Metro Stations making it easy to go anywhere. Another good reason to book? Stay with us and get a Free Caipirinha every night. Curious? Go ahead and see why you should (or, maybe, should not) stay with us.

A very social hostel

Hostels are losing their main attribute: bringing strangers together. LimeTime is proud to be the most social hostel in Sao Paulo. To be like that we have our own bar, only for the guests, with big screen TV with Wii games, and an open air patio.

Every night you can claim a Free Caipirinha, and during Happy Hour our Internet is TURNED OFF! Yes, smartphones are killing real human interactions, so we are killing it so you don’t get distracted and do what backpackers should do, make new friends!

FAQ

How do I check prices, availability and make a booking at LimeTime?
Our booking system will provide all the information you need on it. Fill up the dates you’re planning on staying with us and go thru the process. Before you book, you’ll see the rooms we have available and the prices for those dates. Then you can continue with the booking process. We will receive your booking request and will confirm as soon as possible. You should know that we need to double check the availability to confirm the booking. The room selected could not be available. If that’s the case we will contact you about options for your request. Do not call us or email about this, as our receptionists don’t deal with bookings.
What are reception hours? Can I arrive any time?
Our receptionist is open 24 hours a day. If you want to go party at night (which we highly recommend) you can come back any time as there’s no curfew or lockout.
I need to make changes to my booking, how do I do that?
First and foremost, do not call us about your booking. We don’t deal with bookings over the phone. If you booked thru our website, just reply to the email you received with your confirmation and tell us what exactly you need to change and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. If you booked thru an online partner (Hostelworld, Hostelbookers or Booking.com) our email address is on your confirmation email. Write us then. It’s also a good idea to forward your confirmation email to make things faster.
What are the check-in and check-out times? Can I check in early and/or check out late?
Check in starts at 1pm. If you arrive before that, you can chill at our big couch at the bar, use the kitchen and the bathrooms. If we have your room ready before that time we can let you in there, but no promises. Check out is until 11am. That means you’ll need to free up your bed by that time. You can still hang out at the hostel until your actual depart time and even leave your stuff with us so you can enjoy the rest of the day. But, if you fail to leave the room by that time or if you want to stay in bed a little longer, we will charge a late check out fee.
Can you pick me up at the airport/bus station and/or take me there?
We don’t pick guests up at the airport or bus station for one simple reason. It would be more expensive for you. To see the best ways to come to the hostel, scroll down to see the directions to get here. We do provide drop-offs thou.
Do you offer sheets, towels, padlocks, internet and/or parking?
Sheets are included at no extra cost. Padlocks and towels are available for rental (R$ 5 per item, for the duration of your stay). Bring your own and save money. Free WiFi is available, but we turn it off for one hour every night so people socialize. We don’t have a parking space, but you can park at the street or on several parking garages around us.

Is there an age restriction?
You must be older than 18 years of age to stay with us. Kids, even accompanied by their relatives, will not be accepted as guests.
There’s a bar at the hostel. How does it work?
Every LimeTime has a bar, but at Vila Madalena, our bar is open on most nights to the public as well. This is a great way to mingle with the locals. We organize daily parties and activities to keep the atmosphere fun. But don’t worry. Non-guests don’t have access to the hostel, and we have security doors and cameras around. But, remember, on weekends the bar can get quite loud, so if you’re not in the party mood, better stay elsewhere.
There’s always a chance. Just send us an email to jobs [@] limetimehostels dot com and tell us what you’re looking for. We hire foreigners for bar and reception position in exchange for board. Brazilian laws don’t allow us pay foreigners without a working visa. So if you’re looking for a month or two work exchange in Brazil, let us know.
My question was not answered here, so how do I get in touch?
Check the rest of the website for additional information, such as our location and how to get here, what kind of accommodation and activities we provide, payment methods and more. Otherwise, email us at vila [@] limetimehostels dot com and let us know how we can help you. You can also contact us via chat or voice on Skype by adding limetime.vila to your contacts. If you need to call us our number is +55 11 3798-0051, but reception can’t help you much over the phone. Always prefer emails.

Airports

Guarulhos Intl. (GRU)
There are several ways to come from the International Airport. The easiest but more expensive is by taxi. Just outside the exit gate you’ll see the Taxi Booth. Tell them our address (Rua Mourato Coelho, 973) and you’ll pay a fixed rate at the booth. Should be around 120 Reais.

Another option is a shuttle bus called “Airport Bus Service”, that runs 24/7. You can take this one to Praça da República. It costs 36,50 Reais. When you get there, take the Yellow Line of the Subway (3 Reais) towards “Butantã” and get off at “Faria Lima Station”. Exit at Rua Teodoro Sampaio and walk the same direction as the traffic until Rua Mourato Coelho. Turn left on it and walk until number 973.

Cheaper than that you can take the small version of that bus that goes to the Tatuapé Metro Station (Red Line). Take the train towards “Barra Funda” and change to the yellow line on “República”. Now, take the subway towards “Butantã” and get off at “Faria Lima Station”. Exit at Rua Teodoro Sampaio and walk the same direction as the traffic until Rua Mourato Coelho. Turn left on it and walk until number 973.

Congonhas Domestic (CGH)
The best idea is to take a taxi to the hostel. It should cost around 40 Reais and takes no longer than 30 minutes. To get to the subway you would also have to take a taxi. You’d waste time and not save enough money. One tip: Take the taxi at Departures. On Arrivals there are too many people and too little cars.

Viracopos – Campinas (VCP)
This airport is actually in Campinas, another city. If you’re flying with Azul Airlines, they offer a free shuttle bus to Barra Funda Station almost every 30 minutes, from 6am until midnight. For other airlines, look for VB Transportes Bus. It takes you to Tiete Metro Station every 30 minutes from 7am until 9pm for 18 Reais. If you haven’t booked your flight yet, you might want to choose another airline or airport.

Bus Stations

Tietê Bus Station
The best suggestion is to take the subway. It’s inside the bus station. Take it towards “Jabaquara” and get off at “Luz“. When you get there, take the Yellow Line of the Subway towards “Butantã” and get off at “Faria Lima Station”. Exit at Rua Teodoro Sampaio and walk the same direction as the traffic until Rua Mourato Coelho. Turn left on it and walk until number 973. If you still prefer to take a taxi, it should cost around R$ 45.
Barra Funda Bus Station
The best suggestion is to take the subway. It’s inside the bus station. Take it towards “Corinthians/Itaquera“, get off at “República“. Take the train on the yellow line towards “Butantã“, and get off at “Faria Lima“. Exit at Rua Teodoro Sampaio and walk the same direction as the traffic until Rua Mourato Coelho. Turn left on it and walk until number 973. If you still prefer to take a taxi, it should cost around R$ 35.
